Northeast Children’s Educational Center began in 1966 as “Mrs. Hodges’ Kindergarten”. Today, 50 years later, we have 3 ½ year olds through 5th grade. As an alternative to public education, NCEC offers engaging and creative learning in conjunction with a structured and caring environment. Our experienced and nurturing teachers, in partnership with parents, strive to develop the mind, body, and spirit of each child, providing a solid intellectual foundation, a strong work ethic, and an environment where values and character development are modeled and encouraged.
Why choose El Paso Northeast Children's Educational Center
Children attending our school are challenged to meet their full potential as they are introduced to the world of ideas presented in each grade level. Teachers seek to meet each child’s individual learning needs in an atmosphere where learning is fun. Phonics and reading education are the hallmarks of NCEC, beginning in the 3½ and 4 year old classes as they learn alphabet recognition and the phonetic sounds of each letter. Every day, our teachers in kindergarten through fifth grade read in individual groups with your childto and with your child promoting fluency and reading comprehension. Our reading stories rich in cross-curricular connections easily tie in with other core subjects. Progressively, each grade level teaches the skills and concepts required to integrate a broad curriculum in math, science, social studies and language arts. Small classes and differentiated instruction contribute significantly to the success of our students.
